In the Weekly Republican Address, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell marks the unfortunate one year anniversary of the passage of Democrats’ unpopular health care bill and discusses the burdens it places on states. Gov. McDonnell says, “Unlike states, families, and businesses, the federal government doesn’t have to balance its budget. And that unfortunate reality leads to policies like the federal health care bill that push expensive, unfunded, and unsustainable programs onto the rest of us. Washington passes the law, and then expects us to balance the books.” He explains, “The law shifts billions in unfunded mandates onto state governments, and rigid new requirements restrict the governors’ abilities to manage our state programs. The result: higher costs, less innovation and freedom. That’s a prescription for serious problems at the state level, where much of this plan must be implemented. Most notably, the federal health care bill dramatically expands Medicaid, which was already growing at unsustainable rates.” And, Gov. McDonnell adds, “The federal health care bill is not only a budget buster, it’s also unconstitutional. Virginia, like the majority of states, is challenging this legislation in court. Already a federal District Court judge has ruled in our favor, concluding that the provision that a Virginia citizen must purchase insurance or face a penalty is unconstitutional…. The legal issues must be settled promptly by the [Supreme] Court to create certainty and finality …

As I was growing up, sports were a big part of my life. After attending college for Nursing, I began to have a slightly unhealthy lifestyle for the first time. I began to eat ‘convenient’ food and was socializing over beer and wings. Because I now had a busy full time career, I didn’t make time for sports anymore. I gained 15 pounds of fat, mostly around my mid-section. My husband says I could have been the face for “Flabbylicious Fitness” if I didn’t change my ways. I was 24 and rolley for the first time in my life. It was really depressing. I knew I needed a change. I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer as I was intimidated by weights and all the machines. I lost 12 pounds within the first month of working out. I saw muscle in my arms that I had never seen before. Of course I LOVED IT! The next few years was an on again, off again type of exercise. When I was about to go on vacation, I would workout, drop weight and when I got back from vacation, I wasn’t moti- vated until it was time to leave again. It wasn’t until I began to become interested in nutrition, that things really changed. I hated doing these crazy diets every time I wanted to look good again. In the 1.9 pre-release #4 the ability to brew potions was expanded on, now including two new ingredients and a whole new subset of potions – the splash effect potions. There are currently 11 ingredients that can be used in potioncraft. These include Nether wart, glowstone dust, redstone dust, fermented spider eyes, spider eyes, sugar, ghast tears, blaze powder, magma cream, gunpowder and glistering melon. The recipes are, for the most part, listed on the wiki. However, it is much better to understand why you’re doing what you are doing – a deeper understanding means that you have a higher chance of remembering. The health insurance reform bill referred to as the Affordable Care Act calls for the creation of state-based Health Insurance Exchanges. This all-day conference was of Stakeholders helping guide the creation of these exchanges. Stakeholders discussed several aspects of Exchange implementation, from the needs of consumers and employers to general operations, including eligibility and enrollment of participants, plan qualifications and the role of the Exchanges in promoting delivery system reform.
